Funny, just after reading the comment from Pål asking why I left out Blackberry, I read some interesting news. Slacker Inc. announced a free mobile radio application available for download to Blackberry devices 8th January. Today, just 4 months after, they surpassed 1 million applications downloaded. That's not bad at all! You can read more about this at MobileCrunch

Hi Pål,
Thanks for the comment.
Actually when I started writing the post I had Blackberry among others on my list, but I decided to focus on my top five candidates. I have no doubt that Blackberry will play a role in the enterprise market, especially in the US. By the end of 2008 RIM announced that Blackberry had over 21 million subscribers

Great post, but any special reason you left out Blackberry? For the enterprise market it is a quite important platform.
